Vista Clock stopped!

Yesterday evening, my Vista clock on bottom taskbar (notification area) stopped ticking (at 5:07pm). When I clicked the time, the Date/Time window opened, where the time was still ticking correctly. After performing a logoff and login operation, this problem was resolved. I am not sure what went wrong, is this a bug Microsoft is aware of? I am using Vista Ultimate SP1 on x86 platform.

I have seen similar issue. Windows Vista x64 Business, SP1. Not sure what to do or what causes behavior, since the problem is erratic. I downloaded a program called Longhorn clock2.1 as a temporary workaround.
